The Extron
FOX 500 Tx/Rx transmits high resolution RGB, stereo audio, and
RS-232 control signals over a single fiber. Using all digital
transmission, zero compression technology, it delivers perfect
pixel-by-pixel transmission of images up to UXGA (1600x1200) resolution.
Designed specifically for A/V systems, the FOX 500 Tx/Rx also includes a
host of features for enhancing A/V system integration. The FOX 500 Tx/Rx
is ideal for a wide range of applications requiring long distance
transmission of high resolution content while maintaining the highest
possible quality.Multimode and Singlemode Applications
The FOX 500 Tx/Rx MM supports multimode fiber at 850 nm, typically for
moderate-range transmissions up to 150 meters (450 feet). The FOX 500 Tx/Rx
SM supports singlemode as well as multimode fiber at 1310 nm, with very
long range transmission capability over extreme distances up to 30 km
(18.75 miles). The FOX 500 Tx transmitter and FOX 500 Rx receiver
feature industry standard LC-type connectivity.Integrator-Friendly Features
In addition to providing high performance, long haul A/V signal
transmission, the FOX 500 Tx/Rx also includes several features for A/V
integrators. The FOX 500 Tx is equipped with a buffered input
loop-through, as well as controls for optimizing video and audio
signals. The FOX 500 Rx features dual RGB and stereo audio outputs, and
sync format conversion for RGBHV, RGBS, or RGsB output.Enhanced System Integration
The FOX 500 Tx/Rx utilizes one fiber link to send RGB, stereo audio, and
uni-directional RS-232 signals long distances. However, additional
system functionality is available by adding a second fiber link. With
two fiber links, the FOX 500 Tx/Rx can support bi-directional RS-232
pass-through communication between the transmitter and receiver
locations.
The transmitter and receiver are capable of being individually
controlled and configured. With two fiber links, control of both units
is available at either location, enabling image adjustment, audio
adjustment, calibration, and more. A further advantage of a second fiber
link is the ability to actively monitor fiber link status and the
presence of input signals by viewing LED indicators on the transmitter
or receiver, or by triggering an external control system whenever loss
of a fiber link is detected.
With perfect pixel-by-pixel image performance, and all of the
integration-friendly features expected from Extron, the FOX 500 Tx/Rx is
the preferred choice for very long distance professional A/V signal
transmission. |
